Trainings
Shelter Centre has developed technical trainings for and with all major stakeholders in the sector community of practice: donors, IASC Clusters, UN bodies, International Organisations the Red Cross Movement, NGOs, practitioners and academia. By spanning different stakeholders and institutions, the development of appropriate training can reinforce consistency and strengthen coherence within the shelter and settlements community.

Project Assistants
By supporting hundreds of young professionals through career transfers into the humanitarian shelter and settlements sector as Project Assistants, Shelter Centre is building capacity.
Project Assistants contribute to every aspect of Shelter Centre activities, developing a broad understanding of sector principles and practice, as well as a detailed knowledge of their project areas, and events such as Shelter Meetings. Whilst supporting Project Assistants in breaking down and manage complex tasks, Shelter Centre engages the skills and experience of individuals to support growth and productivity. Project Assistant positions are currently virtual, allowing Shelter Centre to engage young professionals from around the world.
