Shelter training toolkit
In addition to the collection of materials from other agencies, Shelter Centre has prepared a course of modular open-source training materials, called the Shelter Training Toolkit (STT), that are consistent with the technical materials developed for both the IASC Global Shelter Cluster and IFRC.
The session modules in the Shelter Training Toolkit can be downloaded from here, with supporting information.
This sector resource is structured into a 5-day course, however the modules may be selected and adapted for use in:
- operations, as part of capacity building and workshops supporting skills development, coordination and strategy consultation;
- regions, as part of career development and contingency planning processes;
- headquarters, as part of institutional capacity development; and
- inter-sector training, to inform understandings of shelter, settlement and reconstruction in other sectors or respons.
