CORE Workshops Update

The next CORE Workshops will be held in Yogyakarta in Indonesia, 12 - 16th December 2011. Applications for places should be sent to workshops@sheltercentre.org.

Final arrangements are being made for 5 further CORE Workshops in the first quarter of 2012 in Australia, Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Myanmar and the Philippines.

CORE Workshops offer for the first time the opportunity for governments and humanitarian agencies worldwide to agree and deliver together the same basic technical training, carrying the messages of the CCCM, Early Recovery, Emergency Shelter, Protection and WASH clusters of the IASC, as a foundation to capacity building and DRR.

The presentations, final agenda and minutes of the last meeting of the CORE Workshops Advisory Group may also be downloaded. This last Advisory Group meeting was held at Shelter Meeting 11b on November 1-2 in Geneva.
