One of the best collective works of the Faculty of Engineering, Gadjah Mada University in Yogyakarta, especially from the Department of Architecture & Planning, Civil Engineering assisted Juruan PMI (Indonesian Red Cross), supported by IFRC and Red Cross of Japan is the publication of the book "Guidelines for Building a Simple Earthquake Resistant House." This book is obviously very useful for people in Central Java and Yogyakarta, especially to the earthquake victims who would rebuild their homes to be safe and not expensive.

Going forward, this book can be useful for other communities that have had no idea that the region could be affected by earthquakes. We must all be conscious. Life in Central Java and Yogyakarta must always guard against disasters, including earthquakes. Any catastrophe is very possible in this area from flood, landslide, earthquake, volcanic eruption and hurricane.
