Development of projects for communities affected by crisis induced migration
This paper describes a comprehensive effort to develop specific projects that can assist people living in communites affected by crisis-induced migration. The overall goal of these activities will be to create and expand zones of tranquility and to reduce conflict by increasing the resource base, giving people an alternative to fighting and a reason to disengage from the ongoing conflicts in and around their communities. A portfolio of projects will be developed by a selected team of experienced international relief and reconstruction experts, assembled and guided by Frederick C. Cuny of INTERTECT.
