Biofoce Institut Safety & Security Formations Course

The Biofoce Institut is a French charity whose vocation is to strengthen the impact and relevance of aid programmes by means of training and supporting people and organizations involved. In order to achieve the development of key competencies of humanitarian workers, Bioforce offers a large range of capacity building activities: training, careers advice, certification and expertise, which benefit the individuals and organizations that make up the sector.

The objective of this course is to enable participants to develop an adequate and relevant security strategy related to a specific context or project: global trends in aid worker safety and security, context analysis, threats, vulnerabilities and risks towards humanitarian organizations, security and contingency plans, standard operation procedures, risk prevention and mitigation. 

The total cost of the course, which will be held from 9th to 11th of October 2012 for a total of 17.5 hours, is 375€, and it will be hosted by the Bioforce Institut building in Lyon, France.
