The Biofoce Institut is a French charity whose vocation is to strengthen the impact and relevance of aid programmes by means of training and supporting people and organizations involved. In order to achieve the development of key competencies of humanitarian workers, Bioforce offers a large range of capacity building activities: training, careers advice, certification and expertise, which benefit the individuals and organizations that make up the sector.

The objective of this course is to Identify relevant construction technologies in earthquake zones, with both traditional and contemporary materials. Upon completing the training, participants will have developed the capacity to understand, anticipate and explain seismic risk, estimate the relevance of a seismic structure, build in earthquake-prone zones

The total cost of the course, which will be held from 10th to 13th of April 2012 for a total of 28 hours, is 600€, and it will be hosted by the Bioforce Institut building in Lyon, France.
